Designer's Notes
A warm taupe panelled steel door flanked by two full-height obscure glass sidelights. The taupe tone is a sophisticated mid-brown that bridges traditional and contemporary palettes, neither timber-imitating nor stark grey.
Heritage & Inspiration
Taupe and mushroom tones have become a staple of high-end British residential design over the past decade, originating in interior paint palettes and migrating outward to entrance doors and exterior joinery.
Ideal For
Refurbished Edwardian and 1930s homes with neutral exterior palettes, coastal properties, and clients who want warmth without the maintenance of real timber finishes.
