Designer's Notes
A pale grey panelled steel door set within a deep stone surround. The grey reads as soft and architectural rather than cold, and the panel proportions are kept simple to let the surrounding stonework carry the visual interest.
Heritage & Inspiration
Cool greys were largely absent from British front doors until the 2000s, when Farrow & Ball's heritage palette made architectural greys mainstream. They work especially well against natural stone where the tonal harmony is restrained.
