Designer's Notes
A black ornate steel door with a brass lion-head knocker, set into a tall gabled porch entrance. The gable creates a dramatic vertical frame that draws the eye upward, while the door anchors the composition at street level.

Gabled porches are a hallmark of late Victorian and Edwardian Arts & Crafts housing, designed to give weight and shelter to the front entrance while expressing the steep roof pitches of the period.
